Course information

Ergonomics is the science of designing or arranging workplaces, products, and systems so that they fit the people who use them and increase safety and efficiency. By setting up your workspace to protect your body from injury (or recurring pain), you’re better able to focus on your tasks, helping you to work more effectively and productively.

This course will teach you how to assess your own work area, equipment and practices, and make the necessary adjustments to reduce the risk of potential workplace injuries. Whether you’re working from home, in the office or in a venue, adjusting your workspace will help provide a safe and comfortable work environment.

In this course, we will cover:

  • The basics of ergonomics
  • Avoiding occupational overuse syndrome
  • Selecting office equipment and setting it up
  • Reach sectors and desk layouts
  • Identifying and managing ergonomic and environment risk
  • Stretches and exercises to use during the workday

This course is accessible on a wide range of devices from mobile phones to desktop computers, making it easy for you to complete training anytime, anywhere.
