At the end of this course, you will be able to distinguish a beer by its flavour and appearance and know what to expect when reading a beer label.

  • How to pour a beer from a tap
  • Beer families of ales and lagers

We'll cover the basics of grape varieties, wine styles and glassware, as well as storage advice and tips for serving great wines. With this knowledge base, you will be able to confidently explore the world of wine with confidence and understanding.  

This course, Introduction to Wine Knowledge, covers: 

  • The styles of wine and the 20 most common grape varietals for wine making 

  • How to store wine for both short-term and long-term storage 

  • The best glassware for different types of wine 

  • How to open wine and sparkling wine 

  • How to decant wine, and how to pour still and sparkling wine.
