Record Growth for Aussie Company Addressing Hospitality Skills Shortage

An Australian e-Learning company leading the world in hospitality training is experiencing unprecedented growth after acquiring the Singaporean-owned online training platform,JERRY.Allara Global reported a 240 per cent (%) increase in revenuefor FY23, after relaunching the JERRY platform which was purchasedf rom Proof & Company during the pandemic in 2021.

Allara Global CEO Andrew Lewis said more than 80,000 new bar and hospitality staff from 25 countries had turned to the platform after the courses were rebuilt in Australia and relaunched globally.

"Business owners and staff from major hotels through to small venues across Australia, the United States, United Arab Emirates, Dubai, Vietnam, China, South Africa, Singapore, and the Maldives are now accessing JERRY courses,”Mr Lewis said.

“Four Seasons Hotels and Six Senses Hotels and Resorts are some of the global giants among Allara’s stable of clients.”

The number of client subscriptions have more than doubled in the past 12 months, up 128% on last year.“Overall course completions are also up, at 138% growth in FY23. As many as1 6,000 courses are completed each month, with June 2023 seeing the highest number of JERRY course completions on record.”Mr Lewis said the easy-to-access platform is helping the hospitality industry address a skills shortage in Australia and around the world.“

Australian Government data shows accommodation and food services is the number one sector for staffing shortages in 2023, with 45% of businesses reporting they are in desperate need of staff," he said.

JERRY has brought together three of the country's best mixologists, Australian Bartender of the Year Priscilla Leong, and award-winning cocktail makers Marco Nunes and Evan Stroeve, to lead exclusive masterclasses. 

Mr. Nunes, who is also JERRY's Global Lead, said the platform offers a range of courses, including Cocktail Techniques, Bartender Skills, Beverage Knowledge, and Floor Service Skills.
